:x: Kingdom Hearts OC - Yuka Chibi :x:

I really enjoyed playing around with the colors and such for my character's outfit.

Her name is Yuka. She lives on a world where the heartless are running around and causing chaos, but they're more of an annoyance than a real problem. Yuka was saved by a shadow heartless one day due to the shadow being greedy and wanting her all to itself, kicking some other shadows out of its turf. This is a little strange due to the fact that shadow heartless usually attack in groups more often than not. But the little guy was awfully confused when she offered a tiny piece of her heart to him as thanks for saving her. The heartless took a piece of her heart, and went away. The two remained connected, and she decided from then on, Heartless weren't as bad as she thought. 

Whenever she needs aid, the same heartless shows up, and sometimes, with more at its side. She created the costume you see before you and has worn it ever since her heroic heartless encounter. (Some heartless seem to have accepted her as a heartless because of this)

She has been known to hand out tiny pieces of her heart to other heartless, and has gained quite a following from the little guys, and even with some big heartless here and there.

Yuka's mental stability begins to wither a bit the more her heartless connections are destroyed or threatened. (She cannot get the pieces of her heart back at all. It's impossible once she gives a taste of her heart away) She is just as protective of them as they are of her.

One day, she comes across Riku, and her heartless friends are immediately drawn to his power due to their fear of it. He is quick to try and destroy them, but is quite surprised when Yuka leaps in and saves who she can. He becomes even more flabbergasted when she's even given some of them names. Riku warns her that the darkness is tricky, and that she will surely fall into never ending lonliness and darkness if she continues the path she's on.
Yuka ignores Riku's warning and sees some of the darkness that dwells within his light, and gives him a piece of her heart as a token of friendship. Riku is greatly against this at first, but gives in when she says that if he doesn't take it, she might as well feed it to one of her heartless. (Because better with him than one of the heartless) He keeps it in a tiny glass bottle in his pocket.

One day, Maleficent discovers the world where Yuka resides and discovers the unique child that calls the heartless her friends.
She tells the child she is in dire need of her help because there is a boy with a keyblade that needs to be stopped. She doesn't quite understand what a keyblade is, and Maleficent goes on to explain what it is. Yuka is quick to say that Riku is her friend after this, surprising the dark fairy once again, and that she would never go after Riku, despite their differences, since Riku will always be her friend and carry a piece of her with him forever.

Maleficent is quick to say that she isn't talking about Riku, and is instead, talking about Sora. She explains that Sora is destroying every single heartless can come across and has destroyed thousands if not millions already. This disturbs Yuka, and Maleficent goes on to say that she is a friend of heartless as well and hates to see so many misunderstood creatures such as the heartless, destroyed without a second thought. Yuka is angered and agrees to venture through the realm of darkness with Maleficent and they end up on one of the worlds Sora is trying to exterminate more heartless, which just so happens to be Disney Castle. 

Angered by trying to take over Disney Castle once and failing, Maleficent is convinced she can use Yuka and eventually bait her into becoming a powerful heartless to take out Sora and his friends once and for all. 

Yuka soon encounters Sora and his friends, and is attacks them with her small army she had amassed over time. 

Since it was child's play to Sora, he is quick to defeat her friends. Yuka gets very emotional, and very angry. And it isn't long until she is able to summon more heartless and turn the entire room into a dark battlefield out of sheer will. Once Sora and his friends defeat the heartless she conjours, Maleficent says some sick and twisted words of encouragement to push her over the edge. Pushed to the point of emotional darkness, she becomes a giant heartless with immense power and attacks Sora and his friends with reignited vigor. 

When Sora attempts to destroy her once and for all, she begins to lose what's left of herself as the room becomes flooded with heartless and she begins to change form once again into something much more powerful. 

Elsewhere, Riku notices the unrest in Yuka's heart due to the piece he had kept, glowing brightly in his pocket. He is quick to track her through the passageways through the realm of darkness. When finally finding her, he helps Sora defeat the amassed heartless hoard, Sora is quick to ask how he found out what was happening with him. He tells Sora he sensed the unrest in Yuka's heart via her heart fragment that she offered to him, and explained her history with the heartless. Sora wants to save her, but as Yuka changes to her second form completely, Riku tells Sora the only way to truly save her, is to set her free from the darkness and lonliness that had finally engulfed her.

A fight wages on, and Sora and Riku manage to defeat Yuka's final heartless form. When the darkness dissipates, Riku and Sora see her close her eyes with a peaceful smile as the essence of her bodily form fades.

Riku is a bit sad about how things turned out, but Sora points out that as long as Riku has a piece of her heart with him, she won't ever be forgotten, the tiny fragment of Yuka's heart still present in the tiny bottle Riku held in his hand...
